The Tortellino—Giclée Print
Created following the 2026 Ginestrelle Artist Residency in Assisi, Italy, The Tortellino evolved from the photographic diptych, The Invitation.
While sweeping the street outside the residency studio, KT was approached by a local woman who took her arm and invited her to join a pasta-making class at her family's nearby language school. “The sweeping can wait," she said. "Come with me. It's starting now.” Moments later, KT found herself learning to make tortellini alongside twenty strangers from around the world. When she expressed concern that she couldn't afford the class, the woman's daughter simply smiled, “You are our guest. My mother said you were kind.”
The tortellino became more than pasta. It became the trace of an invitation accepted.
Set against the weathered surface of a lichen-covered wall photographed during solitary evening walks in the hills above Florence, the work is a quiet reminder that life's most meaningful moments often arrive unexpectedly, and only because we are willing to say yes.
Perhaps you'll recognise one of your own invitations.
Released in an exclusive edition of just ten archival giclée prints, The Tortellino is digitally printed on Hahnemühle 100% Cotton Rag Paper using Epson archival pigment inks, creating a museum-quality print designed to last for generations.
Each print is signed, titled and individually numbered on the reverse, carefully wrapped in acid-free tissue and accompanied by a certificate detailing the artwork, the edition and its place within the series.
The print is designed to fit a standard A3 frame, making it easy to display. A beautifully proportioned range of ready-made frames is available from retailers such as Country Road.
Ships worldwide in a secure protective tube.
Dimensions: Image Area: 420 × 297mm. Paper Size: 445 × 322mm
