Collected Patterns: The botany of Walter Hill – Funding
March 3, 2011 KT

As you know, Collected Patterns: The botany of Walter Hill is my upcoming exhibition of new paper and textile-based works celebrating the significance of early settler, Walter Hill’s, contribution to the Brisbane and Queensland environment and agricultural economy through his work as the first curator of the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens (1855-1881).

This project and culminating exhibition would not have been possible without the support of a SignatureBrisbane Seed Grant and a Janet Holmes à Court Artists’ Grant, a NAVA initiative made possible through the generous support of Mrs Janet Holmes à Court and the support of the Visual Arts Board, Australia Council for the Arts.

Visit the SignatureBrisbane and NAVA websites for more information on these grants.

Exhibition runs: 5-12 March at Myrtle Street Studio
