Next to the letterpress prints, there is a series of eerily, haunting digital prints which I hope, capture the essence of the plants: Erythroxylon Coca, Casuarina, Caladium, Cabbage Palm, Coffea Arabica and Bromeliad, all cultivated in the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens by Walter Hill (1855-1881).
These works were printed at Brisbane Digital Images by Martin Barry. Martin prints works for the Queensland Centre for Photography (QCP) and many renowned photographic artists. His knowledge and workmanship is esteemed, as is his attention to detail and pristine handling of the works he prints. I am ecstatic with the resolution, depth and intensity we have achieved with these Giclée prints on 100% Cotton Rag stock using Epson long life pigment inks.
