Native to Queensland, the Bunya Bunya is sacred to the Aboriginal peoples and groves were often governed by a particular tribe or family. It was also one of Walter Hill’s favourite trees and as the curator, he planted an avenue of them in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, which became a fashionable Sunday promenade for the social set during the late 1800s. Printed on beautiful handmade Magnani Incisioni 650/5 Smooth White 100% Cotton Rag Paper with rubber-based inks using an original Heidelberg Windmill Letterpress, this print is one of a very limited edition of 20 impressions and is highly collectible.
