Moore & Moore: Not just a wallpaper book…

Moore & Moore: Not just a wallpaper book…
June 18, 2012 KT

Moore & Moore’s dynamic director, Lynne Testoni, was in Brisbane recently promoting the beautiful Classic Wallpaper Collection to a number of savvy interior designers and stylists, wallpaper retailers and interior furnishings agents.

It makes such a difference to have great tools when walking someone through your work, practice, products or process. It makes me think of presentations I’ve attended where the speaker used powerpoint slides to support what they were saying, allowing the audience to focus on the message with great interest and passion, as opposed to others who have let the slides take over with cumbersome and copious text, distracting the audience away from the speaker altogether!

As we made our rounds, it was clear that our wallpaper book showcases the collection with great impact and in a way that is easy to understand. It includes the four designs, each in four colourways and images of each wallpaper design in-situ, which helps make sense of the designs in real settings. It was exciting to present the collection in person to experienced industry professionals who were seeing it for the first time. The wallpaper book helped us take people on a journey through each of the designs and their stories, the development and manufacturing process, and convey the care and attention to detail that has gone into every part of the product.

While it was apparent that the wallpaper book was an excellent and highly-useful tool, it still needed us to tell the story, engage in conversation, ask about client needs and obtain valuable end-user feedback.

You could say the focus was where it needed to be, on the wallpaper and its creators and the wallpaper book was like a magic carpet, taking us all on a ride with a breathtaking view…
