Collected Patterns at the 32nd Australian Garden History Society Annual National Conference
August 18, 2011 KT

I’m excited to be selected as one of six artists exhibiting at the 32nd Annual National Conference of the Australian Garden History Society (AGHS). Held this year in Maryborough, Queensland from 19-21 August, the conference will feature a range of engaging speakers, talking on all manner of historical and botanical subjects and include several lovely local visits to historic gardens and architecture.

Barbara Heath and Malcolm Enright from the infamous Jeweller to the Lost studio are taking much of the work from my 2011 exhibition, Collected Patterns: The botany of Walter Hill to showcase to the 200+ members already registered for the conference. I’m grateful to them for their insight into developing this visual gem in the conference program and look forward to many new collectors engaging with my work. The other talented artists include: Dr Rhyl Hinwood, Georgina Patterson, Jay Dee Dearness, Virginia Jones and Barbara herself. To view the beautiful Banskia leaf brooches that Barbara has hand-made for the exhibition, visit the Jeweller to the Lost blog here. I and many others have already pre-purchased, they’re that good!

Have a great trip Barb and Mal and I hope the conference is more than you and the members all hope for!
