Australian Print Workshop

Australian Print Workshop
May 16, 2011 KT

I’m just back from Melbourne where I visited the lovely Australian Print Workshop (APW) in Fitzroy, which provides both established and emerging artists access to Australia’s most comprehensive, professional printmaking facilities and expertise.

Established in 1981, the APW has gone on to expand its activities to include a custom print service, open access studios, commissions, exhibitions, a print store and education program. The APW often works with many of Australia’s leading artists on collaborative projects both locally and internationally.

A key authority on contemporary Australian printmaking, the APW is a ‘not-for-profit’ organisation that receives support through state and federal government arts funding, charitable foundations, corporate sponsors and individuals. Works produced at in-house are represented in all major Australian public art gallery and museum collections.

Now to start planning my APW collaboration!
